Hucclecote Netball Club

About the club

Hucclecote Netball Club was born out of a group of bored rugby girlfriends and wives nearly 50 years ago. One of those is founder member and chair, Sue Wainwright who has seen the club grow from one local team to one of the largest in the country, boasting a membership close to 300 adults and juniors.

The club has always prioritised developing young players, dominating local leagues from U12 to U16 and representing age groups at Regional and National championships.

The club boasts many players past and present who have represented at international level, both England and Wales with even more at Superleague, representing Seven Stars, Team Bath & Celtic Dragons.

The club has close links with Hartpury College and the University of Gloucestershire, where we offer a competitive level of competition and a pathway from local league through to National Premier. Many players travel a considerable distance to enjoy the benefits of quality coaching and the competitive netball we offer at all levels.

Based in Gloucestershire in the South West region, all our Adult squads train at Cheltenham College at a superb two-court indoor venue, with our Juniors in a couple of local schools in the county.
