The first matches of the
The first matches of the New Year were almost a clean sweep of wins. 
In the local league Hurricanes currently leading The Prem div had a convincing win over Stroud 63-26. It was good to see Becky Vaughn back on court after a long lay off & also Ella 
Langford in her first match for 2 years. 
Lightning hot on their heels in 3rd place in the table, also had a good win 55-32 over Survivors. Katya Jennings & Ffion Williams were both on form shooting. Meg Seyers stepped up from Storm & put in a strong performance at WD. 
Storm, slightly depleted had a closely contested match with Randwick with never more than 4 or 5 goals between them. Storm fought hard till the final whistle but went down narrowly by 3 losing 37-40. 
Regional Comets in a morning game in Bristol v Mavericks came away with a great win  44-32. This result has elevated Comets to 2nd place in 
Div 2. 
Regional Stars in Div1 also had a win with a more convincing result 59-26 over Almondsbury. 
Hucclecote Prem had to make the round trip of over 450 miles to hang onto top slot in National Prem 2. 
They met a much improved Grangetown & in a physical encounter earned a win 54-48. 
Sam Cook was named Mizuno player of the match. 
U16 Pumas in the Bentham league secured their 2nd win- albeit by only 2 goals 20-18 over Cirencester.
